Our Traditional Summer Camp

In 1902, the Marsan family came to little-known Monmouth, Maine to start a summer camp for boys where
the campers could experience the fresh air, freedom and leisure of the outdoors during the hot summer months.
With a sparkling, eleven-mile long lake and hundreds of acres of woodlands, the southwest shore of Lake
Cobbosseecontee offered a perfect setting for the summer camp experience the Marsan family was looking for.
They called their new home Camp Cobbossee.
Season after season, Camp Cobbossee's popularity grew as young boys discovered a means of learning new skills,
developing strong self-esteem and maturing into responsible young men. With a dedication to superior staffing,
instruction and integrity, the Marsans founded a camp with a stellar reputation that remains today.
Camp Cobbossee provides the ultimate camping experience and we invite you to be involved in the fun, sports,
excitement and traditions, where friendships are made for a lifetime!
