Cobbossee Philosophy

Camp Cobbossee Traditions
1. To exhibit good sportsmanship and fair play in all activities
Sportsmanship and fair play are the cornerstones of the Cobbossee program. Our campers are taught that the most important part of the game is not necessarily who wins, but how they work together as a team. Campers will learn to respect one another as they live with other boys and make new friends from all over the world. Through our carefully supervised and well-rounded program, our boys gain confidence, self-esteem and independence while learning important life lessons!

2. To try new things and develop new skills
Through excellent instruction, players of all skill levels will leave camp with new skills that greatly enhance their game. While our playing fields are always packed, sports are just the beginning to Camp Cobbossee. Whether their interests lie in team sports or individual activities, campers are encouraged to try new activities and develop new skills. Campers will be able to try activities that can only be found at a summer camp!

3. To appreciate the Maine outdoors
Set in a beautiful Maine environment on Lake Cobbosseecontee, we offer an eclectic mix of waterfront sports (waterskiing, sailing, fishing and more!) as well as various hiking and canoeing trips, so that every camper can truly experience the great Maine outdoors.

4. To have a safe and fun summer
Most of all, our goal is for each camper to have a safe and incredibly fun summer. Our caring and enthusiastic staff is carefully chosen and feeds off the campers to ensure that everyone takes away memories that will bring smiles for years to come.
