Camp Cobbossee Archery
Boating and Sailing

Summer camp in Maine would not be complete without learning how to canoe, kayak, and sail. We offer canoeing and kayaking trips out of camp for campers to practice their new skills in the rivers.

Campers have a great time learning how to sail on our fleet of sailboats, ranging from lasers to phantoms to catamarans. Many of our campers compete in inter-camp sailing regattas.

Fishing and...
Fishing

Lake Cobbosseecontee is well known for its large & small-mouth bass. Our campers enjoy fishing from our large party-boat or fishing docks, trying to reel in the big one!

Swimming
Swimming

Campers have the opportunity to improve their skills substantially over the summer. Our team of lifeguards and certified swim instructors provide Red Cross WSI Certified swim lessons. Some of our campers choose to participate in open water swims to Spirit Island and the annual Lake Swim. Campers are encouraged to participate in swim meets with neighboring camps.

All campers completing 5th grade and below are required to take swimming lessons. In addition, there is a daily recreational free swim where campers rush to the waterfront to cool off in the lake or bounce on one of our two sensational 25-foot floating trampolines!

Camp Cobbossee Golf
Waterskiing, Wakeboarding and Kneeboarding

Our ski boats provide plenty of time for campers to cool off in the water and improve their waterskiing, wakeboarding and kneeboarding skills throughout the summer. Beginning skiers will benefit substantially from our knowledgeable ski staff members who take pride in helping campers get up for the first time. The more advanced skiers can take advantage of our own slalom course and attempt to barefoot.

Safety is the number one priority at our ski docks. In each boat, we have two ski instructors including a trained boat driver and a spotter, both with lifeguard certification.
