Boys Overnight Summer Camp Staff

Camp Cobbossee Staff
Thanks for visiting our website and for your interest in working at Camp Cobbossee. In this section, we will share with you our hiring process, discuss the various job positions at camp, and answer some frequently asked questions.

We have high expectations for our staff and put a lot of time and effort into selecting them. Each staff member will undergo an extensive interview process with our year-round staff. Interviews will be conducted over the phone or in person when we visit universities around the world.

We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic people who will help create an atmosphere where our campers will learn life lessons and skills, grow as individuals, and achieve new accomplishments. Each counselor will be assigned to a cabin and also be an activity specialist during the day. Their specialties are determined by their previous experiences. In addition to skill based achievements, our counselors are focused on the safety, fun, and growth of every camper.

Before the campers arrive, there is a one-week staff orientation. This orientation session will introduce the policies and expectations for all staff members while at camp. There will be hands-on sessions to help offer ways to deal with camper issues during the summer as well as specific training in each program area. We also arrange some fun activities to help you get to know your peers who you will be working with for the summer. During orientation, staff members are assigned to the age group and cabin where they will live during the summer. Before you know it, the buses will roll into camp and the real fun begins!
