The Camp Cobbossee crew recently returned from the American Camp Association’s Tri-State Camp Conference. This conference is a 4-day event held at the Atlantic City Conference Center. Over 3000 attendees from camps coast to coast and around the world attend the event in addition to exhibitors from many different industries.

The conference included over 100 sessions specific to camp, children, staff and parents. As attendees, we had the opportunity to hear from many speakers and seasoned veterans in the camp industry. In addition, we also enjoyed the keynote speakers, Shawn Anchor and Henry Winkler (aka the Fonz or for the younger generations, the coach from Waterboy).

The conference was very educational and productive. We brought back many new ideas and suggestions on how to continue to make camp even better.

While at Tri-State, we also had the chance to go to the Annual SCOPE dinner. SCOPE, Summer Camp Opportunities Provides an Edge, is a foundation that helps underprivileged children go to camp. Camp Cobbossee is a proud supporter of SCOPE.
